Orchids....beautiful flowers, but work I continue to put off!
I really love orchid flowers, and I really am blessed to have so many of Dads orchids. But I am never as conscientious as dad was when it comes to the care of these. Well I am nearly finished the job of repotting. This is a tiresome job when you let them grow out of their pots for too many years.

Feeling very blessed
I haven't been feeling well, and haven't been down to the bay to see the curlew family. Last time I was down there I couldn't find them. No sign of the parents or the young bird. And a couple days before that, I saw the parents with no young one.
Well I went down yesterday and spotted them, all three of them. mum, dad and the young one. It was such a joy to see this little family was still ok.
They young one is in the centre and has grown to be such a large bird in the 10 days or so since I have seen it. Thank you Lord for your amazing creation! Also have a close up pic of the young bird, you can see all the downy like feathers starting to fall and be replaced with an adult plumage. It must be about 5weeks old now.
More blessings came today also. I woke to the sound of men talked in the yard behind us. I had been told that the trees in the yards behind me were going to be removed sometime, well today was D Day.
A man came to the door to tell me he may have to come into our yard and as Sheba, our German Shepherd also lives in our yard, I took the man in to meet her. He also informed me that out of the three trees next door, they were only taking ONE!!!! YAY!!!!
This is a photo before. At least we had a win for the native birds today, even though it will take a while for them to get used to the change in their trees. And they won't be as close to the bowl of seed that sits on my greenhouse, but I'm hoping they will find it again. Here's the almost finished photo.
